The MBTA reports "severe" delays on the Red Line due to a dead train at North Quincy. This comes after an Orange Line train died near North Station.

A dead inbound trolley at Boylston is causing "moderate" delays on the Green Line.

Earlier, there were "moderate" delays on the Blue Line due to signal problems at Orient Heights and "moderate" delays on the Red Line due to a deceased Alewife-bound train.

Flooding at Downtown Crossing

The T has shut its busiest station after a pipe burst and sent water flooding onto the station floors. This comes not long after a briefly flaming Green Line trolley roof at Park Street caused delays on that line.

Ben Rey, who took the photo, reports he got on the last train to Forest Hills from DTX, around 1:20 p.m. Both lines are still running, but bypassing the station.

Seems somebody's car just up and died while the motorist was trying to cross the Green Line and now the T is busing riders between Washington and Babcock streets, because while a trolley ramming the car out of the way at full speed would be spectacular, it might scratch up the trolley.

The MBTA reports everything's back to normal on the Orange Line, where a train was taken out back and shot at Forest Hills, and on the Red Line, where a train left this mortal coil at JFK/UMass.

An Orange Line train wheezed its last at Tufts and now there are "severe" delays on the line, which was already having problems due to track issues near Wellington. Jennifer M. reports:

I have been trapped for 50 minutes between Back Bay and Tufts without heat.
