Police found a man with gunshot injuries and an SUV with a shot-out rear windshield, around 11:40 a.m. at Warren and Moreland streets, but Alertpageboston reports he was shot nearly two miles away on Claybourne Street in Dorchester. Read more.

Boston.com reports that TD Bank has apologized for, and taken down, a street ad that makes it sound like if your debit card has been stolen, it's probably in Dorchester. The wording's very similar to that on Samsung ads a couple years ago that implied stolen phones all wind up in Mattapan.

Boston Police report arresting Verenisa Valdez, 25, of Jamaica Plain for driving a car with an expired registration and for possession of the loaded .45 caliber Glock 38 handgun they say officers found inside her car when she was stopped on Washington Street near Norwell Street in Dorchester around 9:35 p.m. on Monday. Boston Police report arresting Dequell Golson, 26, of 472 Washington St. in Dorchester after officers with a search warrant found "a Bryco Jennings 9mm Firearm loaded with eleven rounds of live ammunition, a Colt MK IV Series 70 Firearm loaded with four rounds of live ammunition, six small plastic bags containing a substance believed to be heroin, three small plastic bags containing a substance believed to be Fentanyl, and three small plastic bags containing a substance believed to be crack" in his apartment. The Globe interviews Anthony Watson, the man a Transit Police officer is now charged with beating.

Two Transit Police sergeants are also charged with helping the cop cover up the beating - something their supervisor determined in part after watching video from the extensive camera network the MBTA has to catch criminals.

A Suffolk County grand jury today indicted a Transit Police officer on assault and battery and civil-rights charges for allegedly using his baton to repeatedly beating a homeless man at the Ashmont T stop - and charged two Transit Police sergeants for conspiring with the cop to try to cover up the attack, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office and Transit Police announced. Person shoveled out car onto sidewalk in Dorchester

Steven Ayr could only marvel at what he saw on Victory Road at Houghton this morning:

24hrs after storm, someone shoveled out their car, dumped everything on the sidewalk, then put out a space saver. Either this person is a complete jerk or this is a political art installation commenting on the broken nature of Boston transit priorities.

Fire on Adams Street in Dorchester

The Boston Fire Department reports a fire that started on the second floor of 184 Adams St. spread to the third floor.

Firefighters responded around 1:15 p.m., the department says. Damage was estimated at $100,000 and the cause is under investigation.
