The Board of Appeals today approved Boston's fourth medical-marijuana dispensary at 50 Clapp St., off Massachusetts Avenue in Dorchester. Because of its location near the Methadone Mile, the proposed operator agreed to set a minimum purchase price of $40 to discourage any nearby addicts thinking of putting together enough money to buy a joint. Boston firefighters responded around 9:40 p.m. for a fire at 11 Navillus Terrace, off Bowdoin and Winter, in Dorchester. The fire was reported knocked down at 10:10 p.m.
The Boston Fire Department reports 15 residents were displaced and estimated damage at $150,000. The cause is under investigation.

MassDOT reports the person was on I-93 northbound near Savin Hill tonight. The road northbound was shut and traffic diverted onto Morrissey Boulevard. One lane on I-93 south was also shut.

Boston Police report a man officers tried to stop for a broken brake light on Columbia Road at Geneva Avenue shortly after 2 a.m. instead sped away - and then crashed into several cars at Columbia and Glendale Street, where he got out of his still moving car and ran away, only to be pursued and captured.
