A Dorchester woman has gotten so sick of what she says are incessant calls from a debt-collection company over some other woman's debts that she's sued to make the calls stop.

In a lawsuit filed yesterday in US District Court in Boston, the woman says that even if she were the person who owes money, the repeated calls from Federal Bond and Collection Service, Inc. of Hatboro, PA are harassment and violate the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

The Defendant's representative advised that it was calling for a "Rosa Linda."

Plaintiff is not Rosa Linda nor does she know Rosa Linda.

Several city councilors say they're not opposed to medical marijuana but that Southampton Street is just the wrong place for one of the two dispensaries provisionally approved by the state because it's already in the middle of an area with large methadone clinics, a jail, trash-transfer facilities and the BU biolab.

And at a hearing today, councilors expressed major disappointment in state officials, none of whom showed up.

One reason I was glad the Olympics were finally over was that it meant I'd never again have to see that insufferable smug bastard boasting about how he never takes a vacation so he can afford some expensive Cadillac crapmobile.

And so, of course, we have the Oscars pre-game show on, and there he is again. Arrgh! Only thing worse is learning he's a local - born in Dorchester, no less. Granted, Neal McDonough is only getting paid to be an asshole, he's probably the sweetest guy imaginable in person, but ick.
