Summer is coming. Time for football – signups.
The local Pop Warner Football leagues are already in process of signing up youth for the fall season in their respective neighborhoods. Pop Warner has programs for youth football players and cheerleaders in multiple age categories. The Pop Warner program in West Roxbury recently changed its name to the “Parkway Falcons” and is now accommodating youth in West Roxbury, Roslindale, and Jamaica Plain.
Boomerangs is an award-winning resale store based in Jamaica Plain. Even better, all of our proceeds support the great programs and services of the AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts. Since 1996, we have been selling a vast array of finds and treasures, and specialize in new and vintage clothing for men, women, and children as well as gifts, housewares, electronics and furniture.
We Media and Ashoka's Changemakers are searching to find the best new ideas for inspiring a better world through media and technology. They are looking for business and non-profit ideas and will award $50,000 in seed funding to the innovators who can bring the best ideas to life. (Sorry deadline already passed).
