These crimes seem to be occurring in the overnight hours under the cover of darkness in various parts of the city. We ask those of you that own Honda Accords and neighbors of those to be extra vigilant in watching for strange cars or people that may be casing a car in your neighborhood.

Truck on fire on I-93

Shani got a good view of a flaming utility truck on I-93 southbound at Rte. 28 in Medford this morning, reports traffic was backed up for miles. A closer view.

Transit Police report arresting a Haverhill man they say would board a nearly empty Orange Line car, sit next to a woman and then expose and fondle himself while using a newspaper to hide what he was doing from the rest of the passengers. Read more.

State Police report a Haverhill woman died after her SUV crashed between exits 33 and 32 on I-93 southbound in Medford shortly before 7:30 p.m. yesterday.

State Police report Florence Bisson, 58, lost control of her GMC Envoy, crashed and was ejected from her vehicle.

Medford Police report a black bear has been visiting the Lincoln Street area for at least a month, but that nobody notified authorities until 2:45 a.m. today, when a resident at 114 Lincoln Rd. called 911 to report a "medium sized bear" making quite a commotion in the area where the resident keeps trash.
