Stanley Staco reports two men were shot on Walnut Avenue near Dale Street shortly before 10:15 p.m.

A car was also hit; bullets also hit at least two nearby apartments.

Boston Police report drug-unit officers arrested a 15-year-old from Lawrence at Walnut Park and Walnut Avenue in Roxbury Wednesday afternoon after they watched him sell some drugs out of a parked car. Read more.

Shortly after 11 p.m. One victim was found by the basketball courts, the second victim, shot in the chin, walked to Walnut Avenue to seek help.

On Wednesday night, shots were fired towards the basketball courts, possibly from Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Somebody keeps running over the school-crossing sign near the Ellis School on Walnut Avenue in Roxbury. WalkBoston reports some enterprising soul - teacher Sam Balto - has put TB12's visage atop the sign to see if that can keep it safe.

UPDATE: Boston Police report Nakieka Taylor, 30, later died.

Around 9:35 p.m. in the rear of a house on Walnut Avenue near Circuit Street. The homicide unit was called in due to the severity of the victim's injuries.

Boston Police report gang-unit officers who thought a particular teen from Dorchester might be carrying a gun were proven right twice when they stopped him at 158 Walnut Ave. in Roxbury around 10:10 p.m. yesterday and found him carrying two guns - a Ruger .45 caliber firearm and a Taurus 9mm. Boston Police report detectives rushed to a Franklin Park playground off Walnut Avenue yesterday morning when somebody playing with several young children noticed a gun just lying at the base of a tree.

The Smith & Wesson .41 Magnum revolver ... was fully loaded and the hammer was cocked. The firearm was rendered safe and recovered by detectives.
