Update: 311 says this isn't a 311 matter; you should call police.

A discerning citizen files a 311 complaint about a man on the other side of a window on West Broadway in South Boston:

Each day, there's a naked man who stands in the window of the condo building, facing the Broadway Bridge. He's there all the time. I don't know if this is illegal, but he's not a very attractive man. I recommend that he be given a good leaving alone.

Update: Kara Baskin reports they will re-open for breakfast and lunch on Jan. 6.

Boston Restaurant Talk reports it's unclear whether this is for the winter or for good. In October, a developer filed plans to build an R&D building on the site, but keep Amrheins on the first floor, if in a smaller space.

Wanted for F Street stabbing

Boston Police report they are looking for a man and a woman for a stabbing at F Street and West Broadway in South Boston around 10:45 p.m. on Dec. 18. Read more.

Boston Police report arresting William Walsh, 35, of Middleboro, on charges he tried to break into a West Broadway apartment shortly after 5 a.m. this morning, after he was apparently more successful breaking in somewhere else and stealing a loaded gun, credit cards, a license and a passport. The Zoning Board of Appeal today approved plans to replace a three-story building at 472 West Broadway in Perkins Square with a five-story building with 16 smallish residential units, spaces for 11 cars in a garage using a three-tier stacking system, and ground-floor retail space. Read more.

Man down a hole in South Boston

The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters and EMTs joined up to rescue a worker who fell eight feet into a hole at 354 West Broadway, near E Street in South Boston and then get him to the hospital this morning.

The Boston Licensing Board yesterday deferred action on a proposed liquor license for the Cambria 6 West Broadway hotel now nearing completion so that the building's current owners can explain their plans for a ground-floor lounge and restaurant, second-floor function room and rooftop patio to the West Broadway Neighborhood Association. A woman who walked into the Lincoln Tavern on West Broadway on the night of Oct. 15 and spotted her ex-boyfriend kissing another woman grew enraged and went up and punched the other woman, a BPD detective said today. Read more.

Developer Michael Moore last week filed his detailed plans for replacing the Family Dollar, a pizza place and three other shops on West Broadway with a 44-unit apartment building and a 50-car garage that has room for stores on the first floor. Read more.

14 West Broadway proposal

A developer this week submitted a detailed proposal to the BRA to replace the single-story Cornerstone Bar at 14 W. Broadway with an 11-story building with 47 residential units and space for a restaurant and offices.

Also planned, according to developer Ryan Sillery's filing:

The green roof terrace landscape proposes a contemporary, sophisticated urban terrace, designed as an amenity for guests, visitors, and residents alike. A key feature of this green roof terrace landscape is a common dog park area.

An aggrieved citizen complains about all the fuzzballs clicking their nails across the hardwood floors of the Starbucks on West Broadway.

The city replies ISD is scheduling a visit to the establishment.
