A Suffolk Superior Court jury today convicted Dominic Shiner, 36, of voluntary manslaughter for the stabbing death of Sean Dwyer outside Dwyer's barber shop on Adams Street in Dorchester on Dec. 12, 2014, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. Read more.

Dominic Shiner, 33, was ordered held without bail today at his arraignment on a charge he stabbed Sean Dwyer to death in front of Dwyer's barbershop on Adams Street in Dorchester last December. He was arrested Friday following his indictment by a Suffolk County grand jury.

As Dwyer's mother, other relatives, friends and Boston Police detectives listened, Assistant Suffolk County District Attorney Julie Higgins said that just two days before the murder, Shiner had shown up at Dwyer's shop and asked him for some money, which she said Dwyer gave him. Read more.

WCVB reports a man was found stabbed to death around 6:30 p.m. on Friday on Adams Street, near Pierce Street.

The Dorchester Reporter identifies him as Sean Dwyer, owner of the Clover City Unisex Barber Shop.

His body, in the middle of the road, was first spotted by passengers on an MBTA bus and police at first thought he had been hit by the bus.
