Tree down in Roslindale

Ed Grzyb reports this tree came down on Brown Avenue in Roslindale this morning, taking out the sidewalk and utility lines, but adds nobody was hurt.

State Police report falling trees shut the ramp from Cambridge Street to Storrow Drive and VFW Parkway near the Home Depot in West Roxbury.

Shots fired into Roslindale house

Kyle Mullins reports shots were fired into the second floor of a house on Brown Avenue at the corner with Ridge Street around 8:30 p.m. No injuries.

UPDATE: Boston Police identify the suspect as Marvin Dumay, 30, of Hyde Park.

An officer responding to a report of a break-in at a house on Brown Avenue just off Cummins Highway around 10:15 a.m. spotted the suspect, who spotted the cop and began to run. Read more.
