Victor Montes-Severino, 21, was ordered held without bail at his arraignment today on a charge of murder for the death of a Pennsylvania man whose body was found - with multiple stab wounds - by firefighters battling a five-alarm fire at 104 Winthrop St.
Data from the GPS device he was wearing at the time placed him at the scene, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office charges. Read more.
Boston Police report Santo Alcadio Bernabel, 69, of Hazelton, PA, suffered multiple stab wounds at 104 Winthrop St. Friday night and that they and Boston Fire investigators are now looking at whether the five-alarm fire was set.

The Boston Fire Department reports a man died in a fire at 104 Winthrop St. in Roxbury.
As is standard procedure, Boston Police and the Suffolk County District Attorney's office will join the BFD investigation.
The fire, reported around 9 p.m., went to five alarms.
