UPDATE: BFD reports the cause was an unattended candle on the first floor.

Boston firefighters responded to 165 Lamartine St., near the Stony Brook T stop, around 10 a.m. for what turned into a three-alarm fire.

A daycare in the house was quickly evacuated; all the kids were removed safely. Read more.

A peeved citizen files a 311 complaint from Lamartine Street in Jamaica Plain:

Some a-hole w a scooter powered by a hairdryer or a million mosquitos is going down lamartine to new Minton up Amory and back again. It's a nuisance. And I've heard a couple people have to brake sharply for the jerk.
