The East Boston Times-Free Press reports that after the Gove Street Citizens' Association's official secretary resigned and nobody volunteered to replace him, the remaining directors realized they'd had enough and quit en masse, dissolving the group.

Live Boston reports an argument between a pedestrian and the driver he said almost hit him at Chelsea and Gove Streets around 5:15 p.m. on Friday ended when the driver pulled out a gun and shot the pedestrian.
He was taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered life threatening. The driver did not wait for police.

The Zoning Board of Appeal today approved a developer's plan to turn the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at Frankfort and Gove streets in East Boston into 14 condos - and to build 94 more on former church land across the street. Read more.

Developers Timothy White and Richard Egan have filed plans to turn the long closed Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at Gove and Frankfort streets into 14 condos and to demolish the rectory and convent across Gove to make way for a new six story building with 98 condos. Read more.

One was stabbed six times shortly before 2:45 a.m. at Meridian and Saratoga streets, Rick Macomber reports. WBZ reports the stabbings happened during a fight outside a restaurant.
