Three people had to be fished out of Arlington's Spy Pond yesterday after falling through ice not thick enough to support them out of the water , Arlington Police Chief Julie Flaherty and Fire Chief Kevin Kelley say. Read more.
Arlington Police report a woman backing into a parking spot on Linwood Circle drove over a curb and right into Spy Pond around 1 p.m. today.
Three bystanders jumped into the water and were able to rescue the operator of the vehicle. The victim was conscious and alert when she was pulled from the water. She was cold, but otherwise unhurt.
