Brother of murdered Mattapan mother was himself nearly murdered at Ashmont T stop in July

Andrew Flonory, 25, of Brockton, was shot multiple times as he sat waiting for a bus at Ashmont station on July 23.

At the time, Wicked Local Brockton reported Flonory was waiting for a Brockton Area Transit bus around 11 p.m. when "two men on bicycles approached him, one of them toting a weapon" and opened fire. Flonory was taken to Boston Medical Center for treatment of gunshot wounds to his arms, chest and back.

Flonory's sister, Eyanna Louise Flonory, 21, of Dorchester, and her son, Amanihotep Smith, 2, were among four people murdered last week. Kimani Washington of Dorchester, charged in connection with the multiple murders - although not with the murders themselves - was arrested Saturday in New Hampshire and is expected to be returned to Massachusetts within a week to face arraignment.

The headline 'Brother of murdered Mattapan mother nearly murdered himself at Ashmont T stop in July' makes it sound as though he attempted suicide; that's how I initially understood it until I got into the article itself.

It should probably be changed.

Is this family just unlucky or are they involved in stuff that would prompt people to shoot at them?

Maybe you should watch what you say. Some things are better left unsaid. This is a sad time for all Boston. You must be white because only an ignorant crackr would say some shit like that. furthermore, the whole violence thing in Boston needs to stop and all the politicans need to come together and help. being yourself and judging from the outside looking in, if you would of knew EYANNA then you would of never said no shit like that. Eyanna was a loving mother, friend, cousin, aunt, and so on. She was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Eyanna was NEVER in drugs and she NEVER had a record. She was doing ehat she has to do as a SINGLE parent. People like you will never understand. Matter of fact WE will never understand. But I tell you what, it needs to stop. People like you judging a situation will never come together to stop these crimes. It all starts from people saying "I'm not a snitch" but you know what? someone knows something and they need to START snitching. This is the wrong time to judge anyone or any situation you have no part in.

First step: education. In particular, reading comprehension.

Second step: coherent thought.

Third step: persuasive argument.
