I worked with one of the two other companies that submitted bids. Our financial plan did not require any money from Boston, we would be funded by sponsorships, ads and user fees (lower than bixi). We were told that Bixi won because they had a more solid funding mechanism, but given no other details. Our launch date was to be April 2010. I understand delays, but I am concerned about Bixi submitting an overly enthusiastic proposal and not being able to follow through.
