After an entire morning on the water, we only managed to catch one little flounder. So, we ask Berman, was all that money worth it?

Back in the day, there was a major flounder fishery in Quincy bay. People came from as far as the Carolinas to go out on flounder boats. Then, they shut down Nut Island and cleaned up Quincy bay (sort of). The Quincy flounder fleet is dead - killed by cleaner water.

Nice propaganda. The water is cleaner than it used to be - that's a good thing. You don't see the tumors on flounder bellies like you used to. But fishing is better? Not that I know of.

a line of 12 lobster pots per buoy, I'm not surprised to hear the fishing isn't great. Carp about strict management all you'd like, but between the draggers and the lazier new generation of lobsterman, the sea and sea floor off of Massachusetts are becoming known as that desert between the coasts of Rhode Island and Maine.
