Snakes, fire, ice and now a truck
By adamg on Tue, 01/25/2011 - 10:36am
The Orange Line was briefly knocked out of commission this morning when a truck ran into a bridge over Medford Street. An inspection around 10:30 found no major structural issues and service was to resume.

This is becoming one bad joke
So a snake and a truck were duking it out at Fire & Ice...
Thanks
I was wondering what happened this morning. After giving up on the 131 I got on the 106 and got off at Malden thinking it would be faster than staying on to Wellington. After waiting 20 min on the platform, we were informed that we would be bussed to Wellington. Decided to avoid the crush of people forcing their way onto the bus and went home, being already 1+ hr into my commute and cutting my losses.

I pass by this bridge
I pass by this bridge everyday and it's kinda hilarious to see all of the trucks that get stuck under it even thought there is a sign that says Low Clearance. Aren't they supposed to konw the height of their truck just for this reason???
Missed it by _that_ much
I was there on the way back from the airport, about to pick up bread at Piantedosi's factory outlet this morning. That was the only street that traffic was actually flowing on at the time. Good thing I wasn't there 20 minutes later, apparently.
