Cut the MBTA Debt NOT MBTA Service

A coalition of riders, community groups and labor organizations have launched a new website -

http://www.mbtatruth.org/

That explains that debt not transit costs is the problem with funding at the MBTA. Service cuts and fare increases won't solve the problem - not even for a year. It's time the Legislature acted to remove the Big Dig debt from the T.

The first step should be to stop paying the private boat company 2.7 Million Dollars a year to ferry people from the most elite sections of the city while threatening to cut the bus route that serves the Carol Center for the Blind
