Live unicorns over the State House? Britney Spears in a jet flyover?

I can't wait to see what CBS has cooked up for the Boston fireworks this July Fourth. How are they going to top last year's augmented reality? Only thing is, they're just going to start in at 10 p.m., so this year people westa Worcester will be deprived of most of the Pops concert, although they will get Jennifer Hudson. Outrage?

In recent years they've started at 10:30, which many people find unacceptably late, especially in years when July 5 is a work day. Did someone finally realize this and change it to 10 pm?

They have to show Jennifer Hudson sing first.

I seriously don't know why they are having the fireworks so late on a worknight. The last time I went to the fireworks at 10, I ended up with stranger-children crying and kicking me because their parents kept them out past bedtime.

I know "national broadcast" yada yada yada...but they can also pre-record it. Fireworks on TV are lame as it is, it doesn't matter if they're live or not.

Doing what I do and going to watch the rehearsal show on Tuesday. I see the entire concert. Then on Wednesday I sit on the Longfellow Bridge and watch the fire works.
