Police: South Boston residents found dead at fire were murdered

Boston Police report detectives are now looking for whoever killed Richard Hallahan, 70, and Diane Bourglas, 54.

Firefighters discovered their bodies on arrival at what turned into a one-alarm fire early Sunday in their their third-floor apartment at 4 Linsky Barry Ct.

Police did not specify what led them to classify the deaths as homicides, but Channel 5 had reported they were stabbed.

The two are South Boston's second and third murder victims this year. In April, a woman was stabbed to death.

So, we can expect state reps to weigh in, Menino to decree something and BPD to assemble a task force right?

Oh wait, this was in the projects, never mind.

Menino can declare that "it's not a crisis" despite 3 dead old ladies, 2 old guys, and a middle-aged woman.

There have been three murders this year in southie
one a drug fueled murder...and now this which we don't
Know the details yet. It Is not a crisis . Stop trying to paint
southie as this hell hole ..with murders running wild! This is
not what this community is about. The drug issue is finally being attended to
And since the city meeting the streets do look better and the drug use has seemed
To slow down. So let's keep moving forward .

I read fire, together with deaths, and prolonged investigation. Made me think it was a murder scene.
