when I was a kid in the early 80s our [inner city] neighborhood was filled with trick or treaters, including the 6 foot tall teenager kinds. Times are definitely changing, You even see far fewer kids simply playing outside, or teenagers just hanging, than the way it use to be. I can't remember the last time I've seen street hockey being played.
We're in Rosi. The flood of kids seemed to start a little later than normal, but we still had monsters and superheroes wandering the neighborhood just before 9, when we finally turned out the porch light and put our own axe-bass wielding vampire queen to bed.
We gave out candy to about 75 or so kids. And most of the teens at least made an attempt at a costume this year, which was a nice improvement. Our daughter also spent some time early in the evening at a friend's neighborhood in WRox, which seemed to be crawling with spooks as well.
