Double take
I thought this was posted by @mbtaGM. @mbta_alerts is not MBTA affiliated. But that would be awesome if it were!
Good point
But don't they just retweet alerts?
Actual human intervention!
Yes, usually these are just a reposting of alerts from the MBTA. He was going to give it up when there was a change in the code, but apparently got some technical help and has kept it up. But clearly he actually puts one in manually from time to time, just to keep us entertained!
LA Metro routinely trolls passengers, and it's hilarious
The MBTA should follow their example.

as cute as it is.. it is a wee bit unprofessional for a transit agency.
But on the flipside, it would be nice for the T to loosen its collar sometimes (and NOT with a video!)
I don't know, I like this.
I don't know, I like this. It reminds us that there are real people working at these agencies.
In a different vein, the MTA does Flickr sets of its weekend work projects. I love scrolling through them.

This is not trolling in the least bit
I really hate how "trolling" is saturated and used for almost any type of funny business on the Internet. Please look up what trolling actually means and uses it correctly.
Please look up what
Please look up what "saturated" actually means. You perhaps wanted "overused" or "abused" instead of "saturated" in that sentence.

Actually..
I went to Wellington today by chance and they are really making progress with Assembly Station. I go up to Wellington once a week and last week they were just putting in the posts for the walls and stuff. This week, there is a roof! Gee maybe by winter it'll be nearly complete at this rate.
So there is some reason for this madness!
Actually, not at Assembly Sq
The hydrodemolition is for removing [and later replacing] a platform at Oak Grove, not Assembly Square.
I just assumed it was..
Thats what I was confused about..
But, still no evidence that
they are putting a new track on the inbound side of the station. Remember, it's supposed to be a center island platform.
OTOH, perhaps they're waiting for the horsey show with the big tent to get out of the way first.
The question I have is
Why couldn't they have coordinated the hydrodemolition work with the Assembly Square work and actually minimize the number of bustitutions passengers have to deal with?
No
Stop making sense. We will have none of this!
