How many mustard-yellow motorcycles could there be?

What does ironic mean again?

Doesnt want to pay the fees and insurance rates for garaging it where he lives.

The guy is from... Maine? No? Or should be, theoretically.

that hes from allston. Plus, what did he do, just make a day trip down 95 on that glorified moped?

Oh, so he would have been safe with MA plates? I don't see the karmic cause/effect there. No fun to have a bike stolen - even for "scofflaws." A LITTLE COMPASSION PPL.

how many mustard-yellow motorcycles you ask? one fewer than yesterda

Yes, because we all know how many parking garages there are in Allston.

And you've come to these conclusions because you...know everything?

Losing your means of transit--be it a bike, motorcycle, car, whatever--is the worst and the lousiest way to start a week. Why not show a little compassion, stop being jerks to a kid we don't know, and maybe keep our eyes out to help someone.

Why.. if its an antique that you are driving it around and left it unattended longer than a few minutes. Seriously.. you gotta be stupid to do that. Unlike a antique car, this can be easily put into a back of a truck and be taken away..

I'm sorry I don't feel sorry for this silly hipster. You wanna drive an antique in the city and you don't think it's going to be stolen? The jokes on you buddy.

cast the first dismissive, mean-spirited Internet comment.

I never said I was nice. ever.

Seriously, if I owed one of these, would I drive it around and chain it to a pole? hell no. It would stay in the garage where its parked securely.

simply means that the vehicle said plate is attached to is at least twenty-five years old. In this case, because the plate is from Maine, it probably also meant "easy mark" to the thieves.

ALthough I agree it does su@! that the guy had such a nice cycle stolen.

Why do you assume it was left unattended? How do you know it wasn't garaged?

(Also using 'hipster" as a derogatory term just makes you appear even more the small-minded slow-witted old fart.)

People always gotta be tough douchey wise guys on the Internet. I hope you find your bike Dustin, I'll keep my eyes peeled.

This is a human being calling for the help of other humans to find his bike. It's not his fault some asshole committed a CRIME and stole it. But it's his fault? For not garaging it in one of the very few, outrageously expensive garages in the city? Have some compassion. I'm embarrassed that Boston citizens, those I once considered "neighbors", respond in this way. This is why the world is turning into a place where you can't trust anyone and where everyone only looks out for themselves. Calling him a "dumb hipster" is unnecessary, irrelevant, and flat out rude. Grow a heart.

It would appear that he lives in Allston but has Maine plates on his bike, which means that he cheated the rest of us by not ponying up for the Massachusetts registration fee.

Small potatoes and all that, but it is always richly ironic to see a cheater whining about being a crime victim.

I made a number of assumptions there, which might be incorrect, so I'll apologize promptly for calling him a cheater if I turn out to be wrong.

I wouldn't wish having a vehicle stolen while travelling out-of-state on anyone. Not even you.

Are you people dense? You dont drive a CL 100 from Maine to Boston.

Yeah, it may take awhile ;-) Hopefully, they didn't come down from Fort Kent.
A very long time ago, I had a CB125S and would spend the whole day riding the thing on secondary roads in western MA doing 40 MPH. Had a blast on it.
