Police hope Metro cover photo leads them to alleged post-Series cab stomper

Cab jumper

Boston Police are looking for a guy they say caused "a large amount of damage" to a cab at Boylston and Mass. Ave. by jumping on it to celebrate the Red Sox World Series win.

They've released a copy of a front-page Boston Metro photo that shows the guy atop the cab.

If you know him, you can contact Det. Thomas Keeley at 617-343-9539.

State Police, meanwhile, recently released more photos of people they say helped flip a car on Boylston Street near the Victory Gardens after the game.

Suspect could pass for Aaron Hernandez. Is the Dukakis furlough program back?

But don't let facts and reality bother you much. You never seem to anyway.

For all of that, the Dukakis administration long supported, and at times actively defended, the practice of giving furloughs to inmates serving life terms without parole. In 1976 Mr. Dukakis refused to sign legislation that would have barred such prisoners from receiving furloughs and would have required a number of other restrictions. -- New York Times

Wasn't he in office for four years between 1980 and 1984?

Yes he was, another Democrat.

And I'm no spring chicken either. I have a suspicion I'm going to be hearing "Cadillac Deval" drivel for the next three decades as well.

Good thing BPD has its priorities in line.

Agreed. Has anyone seen this serial jaywalker? Also this hoodlum has multiple parking tickets and is a menace to society.

caused "a large amount of damage to a cab"

Under MGLC. 266 S. 28, malicious damage to a motor vehicle is a 15 year-felony, far from jaywalking. I'm glad Acting Commissioner Evans and his crew are investigating.

Ah, that's just an accident. Not like the car got hurt much or anything.

Just because it carries a harsh penalty doesn't make it a priority.

apples and helicopters...

zero tolerance for mob uprisings I say. As far as the BPD's priorities, this is a pretty slick, cheap and efficient way of outsourcing the work

He was just re-enacting Julie Andrews singing "The hills are alive, with the sound of music..."
