In Jamaica Plain, a sign against littering appeals to the Shakespearean in all of us.
You can't see it, but I am biting my thumb SO HARD at litterers.
Are there trash cans and butt containers for people to use adjacent to the sign?
Why? Because cigarette butts are too heavy to carry? That empty coffee cup, too?
Drives me nuts that smokers consider the world their ashtray.
...would write in Shakespeare's speak.. oh well
That which we call a warning By any other name would be as stern.
And we beseech you not to sprinkle holy water here.
...they could have said "beseech *thee* ." but that would have been overkill.
or maybe "Screw your garbage to the sticking place"
that's.....about all the Shakespeare I know.
JP is such a poncey place.
