Stephen M. watched a BTD crew installing a Do Not Enter sign on E. 4 Street in South Boston, which is one of the nominally two-way streets the city will turn into one-way streets at 10 tonight.

They should put flashing
They should put flashing lights up with the temporary signs; a lot of people aren't going to notice there's suddenly a Do Not Enter sign up there.
It will be covered in snow
And there will be zero enforcement anyway.
Does that make it easier...
...for Southie residents to park facing the wrong way? I guess we'll find out.
What happens
When Sully comes out after a couple of days, digs out his buried car and it's facing the wrong way? Back down to the next cross street? Drive the wrong way up to the cross street?
No worries, unenforced year-round
They never ticket cars for parking facing the wrong way, so Sully doesn't have to worry. Just as he doesn't have to worry while double parking on Broadway.
