Wow. I hope the driver and passengers are ok. I am scared shitless of the Jamaicaway no matter what the weather is and try to avoid driving on it at all costs.

Let alone with the snow banks and twisty, slippery pavement.

Tear down all those yucky trees! Get rid of the sidewalks! Fill in the pond!

You could always tell a West Roxbury kid in High School, they were the ones limping with the cane from getting into a minor accident on the JWay.

There have been many flips over the past week around the area owing to the lanes not being their typical width.

Slow down everyone, or take the T, oh wait.

as a minor accident on the J-Way... opposite lanes are 12-16 inches away from head on collisions, collisions w/ cars going in same direction: people don't usually give a shit and keep on driving just giving the other one the finger... where'd you grow up anyway?

Problem: Road going though parkland is narrow and twisty resulting in frequent accidents.

Solution #1: Enforce the speed limit, raise fines and/or lower speed limit, go after reckless driving, etc.

Solution #2: Destroy the parkland and residences to make the road straight and wide. Let people continue to drive stupid.

Could there be a more perfect day for it?

I'm really curious how someone could flip their car if they were going the posted 25 mph speed limit.

The Jamaicaway should be shut down. Its dangerous and drivers have shown they are too irresponsible to operate on it safely. It would be a lovely area for walking and cycling once you get rid of the cars. The noise and air pollution ruin the scenery as is.

with that. It's a major route in and out of the city.

I went by there this afternoon. Looked absolutely horrific--windshield looked crushed in.

I drive the J- Way everyday, folks drive like assholes esp. in pick up trucks lookin at YOU assholes in F150s crowd the lanes, way too fast for the curves, low slung Honda Civics beating the lights, I LITERALLY breathe a sigh of relief when I get off onto Arborway another death trap. Snow piles make it impossible to drive two lanes, it's down to one and a half each way.
