New trial ordered for man convicted of murdering Boston cop

A Suffolk Superior Court judge yesterday ordered a new trial for Sean Ellis, convicted for the 1993 murder of Det. John Mulligan in a Roslindale shopping-center parking lot, the Globe reports.
