Used to work adjacent to the bridge
Used to work at the engineering firm adjacent to the bridge( old train station). Once a week was a slow week for that bridge.
The trucks leave Harvey's transfer station and follow the GPS for the quickest way to the pike. There are signs inside the office in English and French (many trucks from Canada) but they are not seen or ignored. It's a 3 min longer ride to take 135.
That bridge is a beast.
Another bridge in Westborough
I also worked in Westborough, from 1977 to 1982. There is a bridge for I believe the same RR, but fortunately not on a main road. I say fortunately because it has a clearance of about 10 feet. The road underneath was closed back then because of the low clearance. I think the one in the photo is on Route 30.
