Man found guilty of murdering William Davis in Dorchester in 2014

A Suffolk Superior Court jury today convicted Amir Richardson, 27, of first-degree murder for the shooting death of William Davis Jr. at West Cottage and Dudley streets in Dorchester on Dec. 17, 2014, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

The verdict means an automatic sentence of life without parole.

Markeese Skinner, of Dorchester, pleaded guilty in 2017 to being an accessory after the fact. A jury acquitted Paul Francis, of Quincy, on the same charge last year.
