Area dries out, hazily

The National Weather Service is as surprised as we are:

Believe it or not, the region is mainly cloudless at this hour.

But it adds:

The hazy look to the skies across eastern MA and RI is caused by smoke drifting south from Canada. We should see some relief this afternoon, before a second round of smoke approaches after sunset.

I don't think we realize that when the ecosystem continues to die, life ain't good. All forms of life are connected for survival.

It was the first weekend day in a while where I drove around with the top down and I was looking down a long stretch of road and realized it looked really hazy near the horizon. I couldn't figure it out since it was supposed to be a day where the clouds were clearing and it was too dry to be fog.
