Slashed outside a Dorchester restaurant

Boston Police report a man was slashed across the chest early Saturday morning outside the Venetian Garden, 1269 Mass. Ave.. Police say they are looking for two black males, possibly brothers.

These police blotter items would be better listed in a single post, unless there is something really unusual warranting separate treatment.
Why the profusion of police-beat items of late
I've been (very slowly) moving Boston Crime from Movable Type to Drupal. When I started adding location data to existing UH crime reports, I'd sometimes get weird stuff on maps - like a Dorchester map with a pushpin way over in JP (because I used to combine items more often). You can see an example of what happens on this Mattapan map, which still has an item way to the north.
So I need to fix both things (and the year selector on the crime maps, which doesn't work right now). One thing I've been trying is not "publishing" some crime items to the UH front page, so they show up on crime maps, but don't fill up the rest of the site.

I read Uhub via an RSS feed. When crime in my corner of Boston spikes, Uhub is I how I find out.
When drug dealing gang members moved to Washington Street projects in Roslindale, drive by shootings and stabbings escalated. It got pretty bad.
Forewarned is forearmed. (No, I don't own a gun but I know where danger is and I can make a choice about going there.) When it gets bad, I can participate by raising concerns to the mayor, councilmen, and area E-5 police chief.
