South Boston convenience store held up at knifepoint

Boston Police report Jamie's Variety Store, 113 H St., was held up in broad daylight yesterday by a guy who pulled out a knife and demanded "all the money you got!" When he fled, the store clerk watched him drive away and managed to take down his plate number, police say, adding they tracked the plate to a South Boston address where they found a man matching the worker's description:

During a brief conversation with the male matching the suspect description, officers observed his breathing to be elevated, and his answers to basic questions to be unclear with some level of panic.

Jason Battles, 33, of South Boston was then arrested and charged with armed robbery of a business.

Innocent, etc.
