Thief not only robs woman's car, he hits her with the door

Boston Police report that when a woman left the key in the ignition as she got her two young kids out of her car and into a stroller on Tremont Street in the South End yesterday, two punks slipped into the car and drove off (just as she got the second kid in the stroller:

The victim immediately phoned 911 to report the incident. The victim was then proceeding to BPD District 4 when she observed her vehicle traveling down Rutland Square towards Tremont Street. The vehicle then proceeded onto the sidewalk and traveled down Tremont Street before turning onto Massachusetts Avenue.

"Numerous officers" flooded the area and quickly located the car and arrested: Raul Garcia, 40, of Boston on charges of larceny Of a motor vehicle and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon (car door); Stephen Mcaskill Jr., 35, of Boston on a charge of larceny of a motor vehicle; and Megan Dooley, 40, of Boston, whom police say slipped into the back seat who was charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle.

Capital punishment

If ever there was an argument for cutting the hands off of thieves, this bunch of low-lifes would be third on my list.

See, just because there are

See, just because there are good restaurants in the south end, doesn't make it safe. Yes Boston is lovely but one should always be wary for low lifes live this, no matter how riddled a neighborhood is with imported proscutio and high end cupcakes.

Glad the mom and kids were alright. If it were my wife, I'd be out there with a baseball bat.

Crime knows no age

Bad enough we have trouble with the kids. how we have 40 year olds going out for joy rides??? I woudl think even criminals would outgrow stuff like this...

Glad they're ok, but

its kinda stupid to leave your keys in the ignition in the south End, or any part of the city, for that matter. Its all part of the suburban mindset that is infiltrating this part of the city in particular. Leave your keys in the iginition in Wellesley, not on Tremont Street.

Fortunately no one was hurt or worse!
