Armed robbery in the North End leaves victim with slashed wrist

Boston Police tweet somebody was held up at knifepoint at Salem and Parmenter streets tonight. The victim was slashed in the wrist, but the wound is not life-threatening.

On Jan. 2, a woman was attacked at knifepoint by a man who tried to kiss here in the yard at the Nazzaro Community Center, 30 N. Bennet St., but was able to escape.

At approximately 8:30pm on 1/31/2010, the victim stated that he was delivering a bag of restaurant food to an address in the North End. As the delivery person was walking on Wiget Street, an unknown white male told the victim that it was his food. The suspect then pulled out a dark colored knife (approximately 5") and demanded money. As the suspect was attempting to take the victim’s wallet in a brief struggle, the suspect sliced the victim's left wrist with the knife. The suspect grabbed the victim’s wallet and fled down Salem Street to Cooper Street.

The suspect is described as a white male, 6 ft. tall, 150 lbs., thin build, approximately 30 years old and wearing a dark ball cap.
