Woman robbed near Forest Hills T stop by three guys in Halloween masks
By adamg on Fri, 10/14/2011 - 12:19am
Boston Police are looking for three men who held a woman up at knifepoint late Wednesday night. The suspects are described as white or Hispanic, in their late teens or early 20s, and wearing blue and red Halloween masks. One had a large kitchen knife and wore a gray hoodie. They fled into Southwest Corridor Park.

Halloween at Forest Hills
Is it illegal to wear masks and carry knives on the T? I know that sounds like a stupid question but a cop told me that Boston city ordinances aren't enforceable on the T and she said that sometimes they have to give kids back their weapons.
Probably only partially
Probably only partially correct. The T is a state agency; to the best of my knowledge city ordinances are not applicable. But was the cop a city or T cop? A cop who returns knives to people who probably should not have them?
A cop has wiggle room on what laws to enforce. A precise measurement of the noise of a boom-boom car is impossible without a sound meter. But the driver of boom-boom car is guilty of disturbing the peace. Don't need a sound meter to cite for disturbing the peace. Don't need a law specifically banning knives; just charge them with concealing a weapon.
I've deleted a post
I guess I have my limits, and suggesting the rape of a burglary victim is one of them.
Thank you
The deleted post was possibly (probably?) the most disgusting post I've ever seen made here.
Right call, methinks
Anyone who explicitly endorses or encourages the commision of violence - especially against the powerless or victimized - really has no place in a civilized forum such as this.
If you wanted to bend over backwards to be 'fair', say in the case of unintentionally hyperbolized or offensive speech, I suppose you could give the original poster the option of editing or removing the post himself, before excersizing your discretion as admin.
Unfortunately I suspect that here, the OP was motivated purely by the desire to shock and insult, and got exactly what he wanted.
