Third time not a winner for man charged with repeatedly holding up same Dorchester bank

Captured. Boston Police report arresting a man after what they say was his third holdup of the same Eastern Bank branch on Dorchester Avenue in a month.

Seamus Simcock, 31, was arrested around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, after witnesses persuaded a cab driver not to give him a ride after he walked out of the 1906 Dot. Ave. branch with a sack of money, police say:

A bank employee told officers, the suspect entered the bank wearing a grey hoodie with a black mask covering his face. The employee further stated, the suspect approached with his hands in his pockets and shouted "Now! Now! Give me the cash!" The bank employee also told police no weapon was shown and this was the same suspect who robbed the bank two weeks ago. The employee gave the suspect the contents of the cash in the drawer including marked currency. The suspect left the bank on foot, fleeing inbound on Dorchester Avenue and attempted to get into a cab. Witnesses informed the cab driver “Don't take him away he just robbed the bank!”

Police say Simcock also robbed the branch on March 9 and March 26. He was charged with unarmed robbery.

Innocent, etc.
