Three in custody after gunfire and chase down Blue Hill Avenue and Babson Street
By adamg on Wed, 04/22/2015 - 6:15pm
Not long after police responded to the area of Blue Hill Avenue and Johnston Road on a report of gunfire out of a black car, other officers spotted the car heading south on Blue Hill Avenue.
The car turned onto Babson, then Crossman, blew a tire, stopped near Merola Park and W. Selden Street, where three men got out and tried to run away - only to all be stopped and cuffed by officers.
A weapon was recovered on Blue Hill Avenue.

Thanks, fixed
Keeping up with identically or similarly named Boston roads is always a challenge.
After I left work today
After I left work today around 3pm I saw an unmarked police car bomb down Westville Street in Dorchester, they pulled up behind a car that was in the road, driver got out and ran about thirty feet. He gave up after the officers pointed their weapons at him.
Scary!
Good job, officers. Thanks.
I just wanted to point out the obvious: Police work is very dangerous and very difficult. My appreciation to those officers who don't look the other way and ignore the constant stream of negative press that the police are given.
