Five arrested, three loaded guns seized after gunfire in Dorchester

Boston Police report officers investigating gunfire outside 14 Rill St. Tuesday night found the car that had been spotted leaving the scene "at a high rate of speed with the headlights turned off" on Columbia Road.

After regular officers and members of the gang unit arrived, the five men inside were asked to get out. Police say one of the five was packing a loaded 9mm Rugar handgun. A loaded .25 caliber Colt handgun and a loaded large capacity 9mm Smith & Wesson handgun with an obliterated serial number were sitting in the car "in plain sight," police say.

All five men - Carlin Rigaud, 33, of Hyde Park, Pierre Michel, 23, and Jordan James, 22, both of Everett, and Belamino Monteiro, 19, and Gilson Texiera, 19, both of Dorchester - were charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm, carrying a large-capacity firearm and possession of a firearm with an altered serial number. Rigaud was charged with second offense and subsequent, which could mean a stiffer sentence if he's convicted, as well as a cocaine-distribution charge out of Virginia.

Innocent, etc.
