Look Out Below

Did anyone else see the helicopter flying over the Charles around 1:00 this afternoon? I was driving down Memorial Drive from the Harvard Bridge towards Harvard Square when I saw a low flying helicopter come over from the Kenmore Sq area and then over the Charles. It got real low and I think it landed a few hundred yards in Cambridge. I couldn't see exactly where.

Some members of b0st0n noticed it, too.

This is fairly common.

My office faces Boston from the Cambridge side of the river, you see these helicopters now and then. Also, a few Coast Guard helicopters will make a lap now and then- I've always assumed they're on training runs.

I work in the Kenmore area and helicopters are not out of the norm. Yesterday however there were two military copters that spent about an hour circling over the area. They passed over my office 6 or 7 time at least.

I saw them! I was walking back to work from Main Street in Kendall Square, and saw them pass by just a few blocks away. Startled the hell out of me.

it kind of reminds me of that scene in goodfellas, oh nevermind.WBZ TV is on Soldiers Field Rd and they have 2 choppers, I think. If you hang around the Harvard Stadium /Charles River area for any amount of time you will see them taking off and landing.or they could be the military helicopter the other person mentioned.
