The dilemma of the die-hard Pats fan

Boyfriend's family Christmas party in New Hampshire or couch in the Boston area to watch the Patriots play the Steelers on Dec. 9? Fortunately, the NFL has rescheduled that game to 4:30, so Angela can attempt a compromise:

... I will spend Noon to 3:30 at his family’s party, then haul ass from New Hampshire (it just HAS to be in N.H.) and make it home before the end of the first quarter. He still thinks this is rude but I was quick to remind him that he left my family reunion this past August after 30 minutes to go to a stupid Slayer concert. As if a concert even comes close to a Patriots game. Geesh.

Don't they broadcast games in NH?

Any Pats fan would be well-served to get a DVR (TiVo or through Comcast). Record the game and drive home slowly to catch the beginning of the second half. The fast forward feature will save you from endless commercials and you can watch an entire game in roughly ninety minutes. Device may actually be saving my marriage.

I have been looking for a house for two years.I finally have found one and will be moving next month.Every Sunday during the Pat's season has been a challenge.Luckily the team has been so good they have played a lot of night games( Sunday and Monday). But then you get those Pats-Jets 1pm Sunday games and I've got a problem, or at least my wife does.Lots of fake headaches and general bitchiness has got me out of a few but I have missed a few first halfs.Anyway, we have the house and its almost playoff time. Go Pats!

If Slayer played every Sunday for five months straight, you'd have a point. And there's a less-than-10% chance the Patriots will be playing "Angel of Death" on any given Sunday.
Go Slayer.

Are you Lonnie Paxton?

With all due respect to Pi's comment, Slayer is not a good excuse for anything.

it seems you're already throwing a pretty good one on the heap.
