Two cycling accidents in Cambridge

Cambridge Police report that a car hit a bicyclist at Main and Portland streets around 9:51 a.m. yesterday. The driver was issued a citation for driving with an expired license.

Shortly before 3 p.m., police say, a motorist making a right turn a block or so away at Technology Square cut off a bicyclist in the bicycle lane, who couldn't stop in time and slammed into the car.

Speeding tickets galore, but none for injuries! That makes for safer roadways!
