The axle of evil

Beth 1 wrote yesterday why the Ford F-150 is the vehicle of evil. Beth 2 agrees:

It's amazing to me how many incidents, in the very short time since I started driving again, I have had with Ford trucks. I've been bullied, cut off, or otherwise treated meanly, and it's almost always by owners of that particular vehicle. It's weird.

Carpundit, though, attempts to show how the Beths are wrong in singling out the F-150:

... The F-150 has been the single best-selling vehicle in America for more than 20 years. They're only giving you their proportionate share of trouble. ...

To which I feel compelled to add: Sorry, but Toyota Camrys and Ford Tauruses are also very popular vehicles, but when's the last time you got cut off by one?

The last car that cut me off was a Nissan Sentra, in front of the JFK Federal Building downtown.

Beth, Beth, and Adam are showing their urbanity.

Hokay, I admit it: I have a particular problem with the owners of tiny Korean tincans who either don't care - or can't do anything - about the fact that onramps are for *accelerating,* you know, speeding up instead of slowing down.

That having been said, I've never had problems with pickup owners. SUV owners, however ...

I'm not very urban at all. So I'm using my car exclusively for driving around the North Shore area, and for highway trips. I take public transportation when I go into Boston.

The incidents with Ford trucks have been WAY out of proportion with their prevalence in my area. There are lots of other trucks around here, SUVs, a fair amount of Hondas and Toyotas, and a lot of Subarus. I've had about four bad driving experiences, since I got the car, and three of them have been with Ford pickups. Just saying.

And I have nothing against Fords. Or against trucks. It's just hard not to notice a pattern.

Adam’s got a thread of posts over at Universal Hub about how two Boston-area women feel that Ford F-150 drivers are the Axis of Evil. Quote:To which I feel compelled to add: Sorry, but Toyota Camrys and Ford Tauruses are...
