Confusion reigns as Forest Hills residents bicker over Arborway yard

The Jamaica Plain Gazette recaps a community meeting over the Arborway bus yard in which residents squared off on the issue of whether to approve sudden MBTA changes - which even Danny G didn't know about - to a plan for the yard or to think about them for a bit. The T, the city and residents first began discussing changes to the bus yard 10 years ago.

Jamaica Plain - where nothing gets done, and it doesn't get done as slowly as possible. These people hold a meeting to determine whether the Committee on Meetings should hold a meeting.

O’Reilly said the MBTA is committed to “equal to or better” noise mitigation in its new design

Anyone with a sense of history should fear the MBTA using the term "equal or better".

Urban life is noisy. If you want quiet, move to Idaho and listen to the potatoes grow.

Generations lived in Jamaica Plain and had to listen to the Elevated trains, streetcars, trains and cars. The streetcars and the elevated trains are gone. Be grateful.

Potatoes are quite quiet. However, people in that region (where I have lived) also grow a quick growing animal fodder called alphalpha.

Boy is that stuff noisy on a mid-July night!
