Tom Ellis, whom some consider the very prototype of the anchorman as portrayed in the movie Anchorman, has been released by NECN. Story HERE.
At his first "retirement" party, (Ch.4?), MC referred to Tom as "the only man in Boston TV who can strut sitting down". Give his wife Arlene a few weeks, we'll have another write-in campaign with bumper stickers.
I sense an age discrimination lawsuit...
So sorry to see the very popular Tom Ellis is released from his longtime position as anchor.
I know Tom and Tom soars to new heights in the face of adversity.
You go guy! Big Bad Jax
i am tom ellis' grandson and i have never met him. he has 2 great grandsons now
