Cambridge Police report a fire erupted at the Whole Foods on Alewife Brook Parkway around 2 a.m. on Dec. 26 when some firewood stacked outside the store somehow caught fire.
It must somehow be against firecode to have such a large supply of firewood in one spot thats so easily accesible to the public, outside, near the front door/main agress.

PS: Put on your mittens, you'll catch a cold.
PPS: Don't forget your hat.
PPPS: Did you brush your teeth?
PPPPS: I raised you better than to dress like that. Go put something else on.
I find it somewhat amusing that sometimes your the Czar of rules about rules in regards to rules, then othertimes with something I find very obvious, IE huge piles of flammable firewood that is designed to burn well (otherwise it wouldnt be good firewood) in front of the main point of exit/entry of a large food store, you imply through English humour that I am advocating some sort of police/nanny state. Firewood stacked up in that fashion, in those quantities, in front of the main door might as well be a pile of oily rags.
Maybe its just me, I was always taught to have ten feet around your campfire cleared of any debris, your firewood away from the fire, but also away from burnable structures as firewood is chosen as firewood because it burns easily and well.
I was there on December 24. They had firewood stacked in a large pile out front. It was kind of hard to walk by or around it to get to the front door. I wondered how they would take it all in at the end of the day - I guess they didn't.

If it's arson rather than accident, that's doubly a shame. Whole Foods has put a lot of work into making a nice store.
