The Bulletin reports work began last week on construction of bike lanes on a three-mile stretch of Truman Parkway. The work also includes installation of a path along the Neponset River.
Are the new bike lanes going to be physically separated from the 45-55 mph traffic on Truman, or is the boundary going to be a thick line of paint? I am not going to risk my life on that stretch unless cars have some reason not to plow into my path. Truman is a lot like the JWay, and no one rides bikes on the JWay.

"In a lot of ways it's really encouraging to see what's happening, but as someone living out in Dorchester I feel very left out," said Debbie Munson a member of Dot Bike, Dorchester's bicycle advocacy group. "There's nothing along Blue Hill and I don't think Hyde Park was even shown on any slide.
