Surprisingly
Despite the discouraging weather forecasts and occasionally threatening looking clouds, the weather turned out to be decent. And there was enough breeze to seend lanterns out into the middle of Lake Hibiscus (still not as good as sending them floating down a river into the sea).

... what a gorgeous photo! the lantern festival is a wonderful event. our girls always enjoy it
