Why so sad, giant inflatable doggy?

Aroooooo!

The people who own this house on Hyde Park Avenue (near West Street) go all out for pretty much every holiday, from July 4th to, of course, Christmas. I can't help but wondering why the doggy in the lower right is so sad (maybe it's because he really wanted me to include the giant illuminated train with the turning wheels on the fence opposite him, but I just couldn't get both him and the train in the photo, not without getting hit by a bus on Hyde Park Avenue).

I love that house. Its so super tacky but it makes me smile. You see it as you sit at the West Street light dreading what sort of traffic awaits you in Cleary Square.

I shake my head at all the tackiness but then you think, wow, these people go out of their way to try to brighten someone's day. Love it. But quickly forget two minutes later as I am amazed how long it takes to get through the light in Cleary Square.
